Salary: £8.75 to £10 /hr.
Contract: Full Time / Part Time & Contracting Work Available. Please note: We are looking for both day and night carers.
This is an immediate hire and we are looking for the ideal candidate now. If you are able to come for an interview and carry out a shadow shift, you can be starting this role within 1 week (subject to DBS checks).
You have to have Senior Carer / Team Leader experience and also have sound knowledge of care practices and compliance.
About the role
As a Senior Carer / Team Leader, you will be in charge of carers helping residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. You’ll assist with daily living, providing support and companionship – and sharing great moments and memories too.
As a senior Senior Carer / Team Leader, you must have experience of working within a care home environment, be competent to administer medication correctly and also have at least NVQ Level 2.
You will have the responsibility of running shifts and you should have experience in developing care plans, risk assessments and other care records is essential.
The person should be flexible to work a balanced mixture of weekdays and weekends and nights.
You will liaise directly with the Head of Care, Manager and must have the ability and desire to take on responsibilities within the home. The ideal candidate will show a willingness to learn and climb up the care job ladder.
You must have knowledge of best practices and feel comfortable liaising with professionals and relatives. Administrative skills are also a positive. Above all, you’ll have real compassion for all our residents in order to deliver the highest standard of care and support.
• NVQ Level 2 or above
• At least 2-3 years’ experience working within a residential or nursing home
• Good Knowledge of best practices within a residential or nursing home
• Ability to administer medication correctly
• Strong Leadership Skills
• Positive and Can-Do Attitude
