Commercial Assistant

Location: Coventry, West Midlands
Salary:
Competitive, DOE
Contract: Permanent, PT or FT – 25 to 37.5hrs

About the Role:

A leading manufacturer in medical devices based in Coventry is looking for a Commercial Assistant to join a busy commercial team.

Commercial Assistant duties to include:

  • Co-ordinate and support the sales order process from receipt of orders to customer delivery and invoicing ensuring the best possible service for our customers
  • Coordinate the response to technical or regulatory enquiries from customers working closely with other functions
  • Provide administrative support to the commercial manager as necessary
  • Provide support in issuing proposals to clients
  • Proactively work/assist in resolving day-to-day commercial challenges
  • Provide ad-hoc administration support to the Managing Director and other members of the Management Board, this will involve management of diaries, recording or issuing meeting minutes and other general administrative duties
  • Provide support in national & international B2B sales development
  • Assist in the generation of the company Newsletter

Key skills / abilities:

  • Educated to “A” level in relevant subjects
  • NVQ Business Administration Level 1 or above or equivalent would be beneficial
  • Previous administration experience is essential
  • Experience in Medical Device and/or Healthcare sector, desirable but not essential
  • Possess strong organisational and interpersonal skills including a high standard of verbal and written communication so as to deal effectively and efficiently, both over the telephone and personally.
  • Ability to focus on complex administration duties with a high level of attention to detail
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and as part of a team and capable of working to tight deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organize simultaneous projects at any given time
  • Creative individual with a genuine passion for Business Administration
  • Strong proficiency in Word, basic-Intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to work on own initiative – A confident ‘self-starter’
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and ability to prioritise own workload
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality when appropriate
