About the role:
As part of our ongoing transformation and significant investment in technology, we’re now looking for an exceptional IT Business Partner to join our IT Business Systems Team to help shape and deliver our IT project portfolio and our long-term technology strategy primarily for our Customer Experience (CX) division which includes all Sales, Integrated Marketing, eCommerce, Consumer Insights & Analytics and Customer Excellence functions, other areas include IT and Legal.
You will be working directly with the CX Leadership Team to ensure successful delivery of the projects within the CX portfolio, developing the business/IT roadmap, capturing available synergies, balancing delivery priorities and constraints and managing projects/portfolio interdependencies. The portfolio will be formed of a diverse collection of projects and programmes with budgets ranging from £20k to £5m.
Abcam operates in a matrix environment so you’ll be working closely with our digital delivery team, architects, BI team, IT ops and multiple delivery partners to make sure each new IT programme is set up for success.
You will be responsible for managing and developing a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts. You will also act as the IT ‘Account Manager’ for the CX, Legal & IT business areas and will be required to develop close ‘trusted partner’ relationships with business colleagues and ensure that the IT/Business relationship is supported by clear understanding of both sides’ roles and responsibilities.
