Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
Salary: £30-35k, DOE + Benefits
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Full-time 9.00am-5.30pm

Cheeky Munkey is searching for a confident and energetic customer focussed IT Change Management Engineer who is ready to take the next step in their career development and throw themselves in to a challenging, rewarding role.

Based in St Albans, the successful candidate will work with a cross-section of customers, internal staff and management.

The candidate will ideally have worked within an IT MSP helpdesk environment with at least 5 years’ experience and a good understanding of customer service with good communication skills, both face-to-face and on the phone.

IT Change Management Engineer – The Role:

Based in St Albans, the successful candidate will work with a cross-section of customers, internal staff and management.

The candidate will need to demonstrate a willingness to learn and have a broad spectrum of knowledge within an IT environment but will not need to design and build systems. They will also need to be able to work within a team of IT engineers and be able to question and communicate projects, system changes and helpdesk tickets.

IT Change Management Engineer – Required Skills:

This is very much an interactive role and you will possess a proactive mind-set and a high level of self-motivation as well as being very well organised.
The candidate will ideally have worked within an IT MSP helpdesk environment with at least 5 years’ experience. Technical abilities in troubleshooting, managing and implementation. Have a good understanding of customer service with good communication both face-to-face and on the phone.

The candidate will ideally need to meet these requirements.

• Previously in a Sysadmin or L2 tech role as a minimum, 5 years experience
• Technical abilities in troubleshooting, managing and implementation
• Demonstrate an understanding of the ITIL framework.
• Previous use of ConnectWise would be advantageous
• Hosted Telephony (SIP)
• Understanding of virtualisation platforms
• Microsoft Windows Server 2008 – 2019 (Inc Remote Desktop Services, Hyper-V)
• Windows 7 & 10 Professional
• Active Directory Management (inc. GPO, Multi-site environment)
• Understanding of Office 365 Suite(Exchange Online, SharePoint, Onedrive, Hybrid, Teams)
• Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office products
• Networking Knowledge (IP addressing, NAT, Routing, VLAN’s, VPN’s, Switching, Firewalls, Meraki, Cisco, Ubiquiti)
• Security Awareness within a business IT Environment
• Understanding of RMM
• Troubleshooting, managing and implementation
• Hardware Knowledge (Servers, Desktops, SANS, Printers)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to follow a process
• Extremely organised, detail orientated
• Ability to technically understand an IT Infrastructure to high level
• Excellent at creating and updating documentation
• Excellent at creating and updating documentation
• Ability to design network/systems diagrams (Visio)
• Desire to learn and committed to Personal Development
• A full driving license and access to a car.
