Gov Facility Services Ltd (GFSL) are seeking an experienced Supervisor with a Mechanical Bias for our HMP Littlehey site in the East of England. You will be responsible for leading and managing the shift to deliver both planned and reactive maintenance.
GFSL is a Ministry of Justice owned non -profit making company who supply facilities management services to c50 prisons over the South of the UK. Most of the works we undertake are within controlled areas and support the safe operation of the prisons. We are looking for an exceptional plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience preferably within an FM environment. Someone with excellent organisational, time management and people skills, who is looking for a new challenge.
As a successful candidate you’ll be able to demonstrate that you are a hands-on supervisor with excellent customer relationship skills. You will have experience of working on commercial or industrial heating, water or building services systems. You will be familiar with and able to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements. You will have a good knowledge of health and safety requirements.
GFSL are looking for an individual who has a proven track record of working within an FM environment, preferably within a secure environment / military / health sector or similar sector. Having completed a recognised apprenticeship in a facilities / building services trade, or have two years of recognised experience and specialist skills as a supervisor in the facilities sector. Alongside this experience the successful individual should have a knowledge of risk and compliance and demonstrable planning and project management skills.
