We have opportunities for Senior Residential Support Workers to work with us on a full-time permanent basis. You will receive a salary of £25,017 – £26,017 per annum (inclusive of a sleep-in allowance of up to £7,517 per annum, £62.64 per sleep) and the opportunity to develop your career with us, gain training and qualifications and apply for promotions.
Total Care Matters is a residential children’s home provider and looks after children in care between the ages of eight and eighteen.

We are based in the East Midlands and operate 7 children’s homes specialising in (SEBD) social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. We take pride in all our homes which are finished and decorated to a high standard and actively encourage our young people to decorate their own rooms to their individual needs to help with their sense of belonging.
About the role
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will become part and lead a small caring team and work in a homely setting and family environment. Our young people have often seen and experienced traumatic events and your role will be to help and support our young people to improve their lives and reach their full potential leading to a brighter future. We believe that we can bring about positive change and outcomes for our young people through our safe and nurturing relationships with them.
You will support and develop the management our newly set up home. Experience of having worked to OFSTED guidelines and regulations is desirable in addition to a QCF Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or a willingness to undertake this study. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a clear working knowledge of supporting the management of a children’s residential and care service. This will include knowledge on current best practice guidance, dealing with SEBD, managing challenging behaviours and children’s educational and care pathways. Comfortable working autonomously, you will be an ambitious and self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Our ideal Senior Residential Support Worker will
• Be required to undergo an enhanced disclosure
• Possess previous experience of working with children and young people
• Hold a full UK driving licence
The hours of work for this role will be based on shifts and may include sleep-in’s and weekend work.
We are keen to recruit casual Support Workers on a bank basis (with hourly pay of £8.30), as well as Residential Support Workers.
