Tax Specialist

Location: The successful candidate will be working from home.
Salary: Market rate appropriate to the seniority of the successful applicant + annual bonus.
Contract: Permanent – full time or part time considered.

The group’s rapidly growing tax consultancy service has already provided specialist tax advice to many of the network’s 200 franchised practices and their clients. This success means the team is looking to expand.

Tax Specialist – The role

The successful candidate will need to be dynamic and commercially focused. They will be expected to show initiative in spotting opportunities and securing work across the national network. They will report to the senior manager but must be capable of working independently with appropriate support.

Work to date has included research and development tax relief claims, corporate restructuring advice, employee share schemes, SEIS and EIS applications, complex capital gains tax computations, inheritance tax planning and a range of employment tax projects.

We see great potential for the future of the team and for the successful applicant. Our expansion will only be possible if we are adequately resourced. It is important to find the right individual rather than someone who is currently more focused on either corporate or personal taxes. Therefore, all strong CVs will be considered.

Qualifications and experience

• Strong professional background with at least 3 years practice experience;
• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA;
• Solid tax knowledge and a willingness to develop this further to meet the demands of franchisees and their clients;
• Strong interpersonal skills to enable the development and delivery of an increasing range of tax services
