About Us

HouseShaw started out from a home office, in a shed, at the bottom of the garden. We are proud of our roots, and very pleased to have grown into a commercial office space for all our landlords and tenants to visit us at.

Managing Director, John Shaw, started out building his own portfolio of Houses of Multiple Occupancy in 2009, self managing all he could until it was too much for him alone. The company progressed into assisting other landlords fill their vacancies in 2015, then onto managing those tenancies, and houses, amassing a sizeable portfolio across the South of Bucks and surrounding areas that is managed today.

HMO’s are a little more specialised than a usual flat or family let, but we are experts in this field and the criteria required for compliance in this sector. Some agencies may steer clear of HMO’s, but these are HouseShaw’s foundation, which has more than prepared us to naturally grow our portfolio into studios, flats, and houses. We have the delight now having let rooms to single people, who coupled up and moved into a flat we were managing, and who later moved onto a house to start a family. We grew as these couples grew and it has been a delight to assist with journeys like these in our day to day operations.

Our growth has necessitated excellent systems to manage all the processes of letting properties, and managing them. We employ the best software, have invested in the best office and marketing equipment, and have a growing team of property experts running the core of HouseShaw’s day to day activities.
