Who are Matthews Enterprise Trust?

 Matthews Enterprise Trust (MET) is a local day care service situated on Neat Marsh Road just on the outskirts of Hull at Preston Village.

Employment & Living Skills Day Centre

Matthew’s Enterprise was established to provide a Specialist Day Service for vulnerable people to develop skills to prepare them to live as independently as possible.

The Centre continues to develop and adapt to meet the needs of individual clients/students.

The MET site provides adults with learning difficulties the opportunity to develop skills to prepare them to live asindependently as possible. We aim to achieve this by developing self-esteem and confidence through educational training and development!

To assist with the development of students we have a structured sessional timetable. These Sessions are run Monday to Friday 9:30 –4by our highly experienced professional tutors running various sessions during the week.

Matthew’s Enterprise Trust offer ASDAN certification and accreditation within the educational classes and eventually we aim to have links with the local colleges so our qualifications can be accredited.

It is our hope that in the near future we will be able to take on apprentices so that we can help vulnerable adults into employment.

A comprehensive program is currently being developed to facilitate independent living in the community.

The program includes:

• Reading, writing and arithmetic
• Managing money
• General Housekeeping
• Socialisation and Community skills
