Residential Childcare Worker (Night Duty)

Location: Ayr, KA7
Salary: £27,518.40 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 12-hour shift (8pm-8am) 3/4 duty pattern, 42 hours
Benefits: Monthly Wellbeing Voucher, in house meals.

Job Role:

As a Night Duty Residential Childcare Worker, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for our children during the night hours.

You’ll be the calm, reassuring presence they need, helping them feel secure and cared for while supporting their growth and wellbeing. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in children’s lives every single night

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care and support to children during night hours.
• Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of all children in your care.
• Engage children in activities that promote growth, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a positive, nurturing environment.
• Record and report on children’s progress and any incidents.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 6 months experience within a similar care setting.
• A caring, patient, and supportive attitude.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts while ensuring the safety of children.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Commitment to helping children thrive and live their best life.
