We’re looking for a motivated and detail-driven Stores Operative to join our busy warehouse team in Cambridge.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with warehouse or stores experience who wants to develop their skills and play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the right products, at the right time, and in perfect condition.

Our UK Stores team manages the receipt, storage, and dispatch of parts and finished goods, working closely with internal departments and using ERP systems to keep everything running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Stores and Warehouse Operative you’ll support daily warehouse operations, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and safely.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Receiving, inspecting, and booking in incoming goods.
• Storing parts in a safe, organised and compliant manner.
• Kitting and issuing parts for works orders.
• Picking, packing, and dispatching items to customers and other plants.
• Creating shipment paperwork in Excel and managing courier collections.
• Updating MRP/ERP systems with accurate BIN locations and stock information.
• Maintaining excellent stock accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Handling RMA and demo machine returns.
• Keeping the stores area clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
• Preparing shipping documents (B/Ls, packing lists) and relevant email communications.
• Coordinating with finance on stock checks and audits.
• Supporting colleagues and taking on additional reasonable tasks as required.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Experience in a stores or warehouse environment.
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple departments.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Comfortable using inventory software or ERP systems.
• A reliable team player who can multitask and prioritise effectively.
• Problem-solving mindset able to handle stock discrepancies or courier issues calmly and efficiently.
• Understanding of logistics processes, couriers, and warehouse safety protocols.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of electrical components or mechanical drawings.
• Experience with SAP (MIGO) full training provided.
