Our staff are chosen for their combination of technical qualifications, experience, and expertise, which enable them to react quickly and appropriately to real-life situations.

Our lifting and pressure engineers are affiliated with the Bureau of Engineer Surveyors and the Society of Operations Engineers. Our exhaust ventilation specialists are P601 (BOHS) qualified and affiliated with the Institute of Local Exhaust Ventilation Engineers.

Lifting Equipment

Our engineering team provides a comprehensive range of inspections on all types of lifting equipment:

Cranes, including mobile cranes, lorry loader cranes, overhead travelling cranes and manual jib cranes.
Hoists, including electric hoist blocks, chain blocks and wire rope blocks.
Lifting accessories, including chains, slings, eyebolts, shackles.

Pressure Systems

Each individual system must be assessed to determine the frequency and nature of thorough examinations.

Our engineering team is able to draw up Written Schemes of Examination and complete thorough examinations on a wide range of pressure plant including:

Extraction Systems

Local Exhaust Ventilation systems take dust, mists, gases, vapour or fumes out of the air so that they can’t be breathed in. A typical LEV system will have:

Hood(s) to collect airborne contaminants at, or near, where they are created (the source).
Ducts to carry the airborne contaminants away from the process.
An air cleaner or filter to remove the contaminant and clean the extracted air.
A fan to move the air around the system, which must be the right size and type to deliver sufficient air flow to the hood.
An exhaust for the safe release of cleaned, extracted air into the atmosphere or back into the workplace.

Plant Inspection Services are able to provide you with clear and concise legionella risk assessments and training. We will help you and your employees to fully understand your water systems and your requirements under the relevant health and safety guidance.
